sometimes this happens.....You find little boys in girl shoes because they make awesome sounds, and a hula skirt can be a little silly. This boy is always trying to discover something. He loves to get water out of the fridge, but of course he makes a mess all over the floor. So it is forbidden for him to touch. The other day he was playing with his popper toy (you know the old toy that you roll and the balls inside pop like crazy). He used the popper toy to push the pedal to get the water out since he wasn't allowed to bring over the chair to reach. This boy is determined! He will always find a way to do what he wants.
This first video is of him passionately telling us something. And I promise, you will only understand one word. He usually walks around whispering to himself and to me all day, except when he is mad. He obviously found something really amazing to tell me that was extremely exciting. He went on for awhile before and after this video. He is soo silly.

Sleepover with Friends
This past weekend we had a sleepover with my dear friend Jenny. Her hubby was doing Scout Camp, so we got together with my 5 and her 5. It was so fun. We went blueberry picking. She arrived before me and picked 17 lbs of blueberries almost completely by herself. I picked about half that. The trees were so full of blueberries, it was AWESOME. Best year yet for us, just wish Pono could have joined us. I wasn't sure how long the kids were going to last, so I didn't take a lot of pictures...and I really don't have any good ones of Napela.
He was such a trooper. He hung out and ate bleberries.
Love this pic of Ileana....not so much me and my disshelved self.
Later we cooled off at the pool. Notice all the slippers in the water....that would be Ikaia. Without fail, he throws them in everytime.
YAY, no more pink floaties.
ADULT SWIM!!! 10 minute brake :) Wish I had more pic, we were just to busy to take any.

Playing in the Rain.
Yesterday we had tons of rain and no thunder. This rarely happens, but it is so fun when it does. We used to love it when I was a kid, so I completely took this opportunity to allow the kids the same pleasure. They were literally in the middle of their morning chores, and I had them drop everything to go play. So fun to have the nice warm rain to play in.
Ikaia was trying to get the hang of it in the beginning. He didn't mind the drizzle, but when it started to pour he took a few step back.
He got the hang of it though.
It started to pour again while Mychail and the babies were cleaning up. So the boys took off again to play.
Dang rain drop blurred my pic. oh well, love the rain.

Summer!!!
We went to the zoo at the beginning of May...I don't have many posts of the kids. It was such an awesome visit though. We went while all the volunteers were out. They would answer any question we had.
They had 2 baby elephants. Later they bathed them and let them play in the water. It was sooo cool!!
Porcupine and its trainer. We could literally reach out and touch the porcupine it was so close. Here it is waving.
Going down the slide at the zoo.
We spend as many days as we can at the pool! It is so nice to be in the water again! Yes, I know he has on pink floaties....I only have one of his.
Kids playing catagories.
Everyday this boy gets better and better swimming. He just works on it the whole time we are there. He can now swim half way across the pool and today he surprised me and started swimming free style all by himself.
Gotta love tired kids ready for bed.
The kids were throwing water balloons a few weeks back, so of course Ikaia snagged that hose. He watered the lawn and himself, and he had a blast doing it.
Ikaia gets spoiled by his brothers and sisters.

Her own little world
This little girl is usually completely attached to me. Whether cooking, cleaning or sitting she is completely involved. Sometimes literally having her feet in my face. Then there are times like these where she is in her own little world and does not want to be bothered. She was a mommy this day, with baby, purse, lava lava and high heels. Everything was in tow in the stroller as she cruised through the cul de sac mumbling and singing to herself. I love this little elf. Lately she tells me all the time how she wants to be a mom. I love it, and especially on days like today, when it has been a bit crazy. She will look at me and say, " Mom, I love you. Your a good mom." She definitely has a way of warming my heart.

Happy Birthday Pono!!!
Pono turned 36 today!!! WOOHOO!! He is like wine, every year becomes more refined and amazing. It is one thing to know a man that is great, but what a better a man who sees his infirmities and strives to be better. He would truly have to be humble. I am so lucky to marry Pono, and every year I feel more blessed. Quoting the song "I have loved you for a thousand years, and I will love you for a thousand more." Those words speak so true to my heart, and as we come up on our anniversary, I am reminded even more of how much I love you! The kids are missing you tons. All of your fun and craziness, and laughter...and maybe even hearing your toots....not necessarily smelling them though :) I appreciate you sacrificing time from us in order to allow our life as a family to be better. Wish I could be with you today to give you the best day possible, but grateful for Megan and Kelii for giving you a special day. Happy Birthday Pono. I know this first pic isn't exactly the pic you were expecting for your birthday post, but here is our weekend with my brother and his family.
Fun Uncle. Kids love it when he comes to visit.
