Bahama's!

Each class at Mychaila's school has been learning about a different country.  Today, they had a World Tour and visited all the countries.  Mychaila's class learned about the Bahama's.  Each child made their own Bahamian hat, and they had different presentaions for food, government and other cool facts.

Outside the class they painted a mural.  It was pretty cool.  We got to go visit some of the countries today too :)

First grade opted out in participating in this, but Ani's teacher is awesome and they will have a Japanese day tomorrow.
Here is Napela helping push the stroller.  He behaved so well walking through the school.
Pretty sure baby boy is teething right now.  He is drooling horribly and keeps playing with his gums.  He makes the funniest faces sometimes.
Happy boy, LOVES his high chair.  Sure saves mommy :)

I think this little girl is sooooo happy.  She sure enjoys life!  Sometimes to the point of driving me crazy, but it is so hard to be mad cause she is soooo dang happy!

2 Peas in a Pod

Ikaia is nearly 3 months old.  I'm loving that he sleeps pretty well.  I just can't interupt that sleep during the day, or my day is done.

Napela is home all day, and he is constatly wanting to give love to his baby brother. He just adores him, and Ikaia loves him too!

It's Smiles Like These...

That makes me smile.

That changed my life.
That taught me to love more.
And taught me to be unselfish.
 And more playful.
It's funny how even on my day off, I WANT to clean, because somehow, I enjoy it...or maybe more the results of it.  It is truly amazing how much my life has changed in the past 10 years.  I'm sooo grateful for the mothers in my life that have showed me an example of the kind of mother I should be.  For my mom who teaches me how to be nonjudgemental and humble.  And for my Mom Naihe,  who teaches me to be more thoughtful, selfless, and hard working.  I'm sooo grateful for the amazing examples of motherhood through family and dear friends.  I hope you all have an incredible day.  I KNOW you deserve it.

Super Kids Day

Today was Super Kids Day.  I got to Ani's towards the end, so I missed the games, but I was able to hang out with him while he ate his snow cone.
Here is Mychaila with her partner for the day.  I was there at he beginning of her's so I was able to watch her play a couple games.
A little hula hoop on he obstacle course.
My little troopers that tagged along.  They were such good sports.
Ikaia LOVES his high chair.  The first time he went in it and the lights and music turned on,  his face jut lit up.  It was sooo cute.  He kinda reminds me of Ani as a baby in this pic.

Ya know your in Texas when...

the kids sing "Deep in the Heart of Texas".    Mychaila has been practicing all week at home, and for a few months at school for a small performance at an Art Festival at the community college.  It was sooo much fun watching her and going to the festival.  I wish my camera had a mic to pick up the sound for you.  Here is Mychaila and her friend and neighbor Briana.

The kids singing.  The kids ranged from 3rd-5th grade.
Afterwards we checked out the Art Festival.  The kids painted a bag made out of canvas with shaving cream and paint.  Then drew their own murals on the cement.  They even had a dance class there that the girls participated in.
Needless to say, Ani's pants now have blue on them.  Hope it washes, but sure was a lot of fun.
I have more pics, but the blog says they are rejecting it.  So I will try later.
