Too Big for His Own Britches/Diaper

This little boy keeps me on my toes!!!  He has figured out the door knob.....luckily, he doen't know to pull yet, but I know that it is not far behind.  He can climb any chair now including the benches at the park.  I couldnt wait for him to start walking to get him off the floor, but all walking has done is encourage him to climb.  I would get a pictire of his gleeful proud face, but I am too afraid he is going to knock the chair over from rocking it while I click the picture.

 Ikaia is following in his big sister footsteps.  I love these crazy kids, but oh the trouble these two will get in together as Ikaia grows!

Sleeping bugs

When I went to get into bed last night, I found Ileana completely curled up with Ani.  Ironically, Ani was sound asleep.  Tooo cute!

A day with Daddy

Spent the day together as a family just doing random thing.  We played Chutes and Ladders so Ileana could participate.

 Daddy played catch with the boys.  Later they went to the park and played as well with Mychaila.

Mommy's Little Helper

This is mommy's new helper, and I say that with complete sarcasm.  He wants to be involved and discover everything around him.  He is 10 months now.  It is amazing how fast this year has gone.  He is actually eating vegtables now, as long as they don't come from Gerber baby food.  He eats almost everything we give him.  YAY!  He is getting braver and braver with his walking, as long as he has somthing in his hand.  And now he has started to climb everything:  the couch, the dishwasher, his high chair.  When he has a destination in mind, there is no stopping him!  Heaven help me.  He is one happy baby, and we love playing with him.  Laughter follows this boy, and I am so grateful for that.  He has really started to play and tease with us as well.  Hiding, or looking away then looking back real quick.

I found these board shorts in a box yesterday!  What a nice surprise!

Christmas Visit

We had a wonderful visit today from wonderful friends that we haven't seen in forever.  My dear friend Molly, her amazing mom, and her awesome kids came and hung out this evening before they continued their journey home. The kids ran amok outside while we caught up.  I miss this family sooo much!  Thanks so much Molly for stopping to see us, and here's hoping another 4 years don't pass by before we see eachother again.

First Steps

Ikaia started walking this past week.  I think he took his first steps around Thanksgiving, but today he finally was brave enough to take several steps.  A lot of his steps are used to just turn, but this video he actually walked to Daddy and the ball.  He also just had his 8th tooth break through.  He says bababa, and nanananana, sometimes for nana and sometimes not.  He also just started waving.  He does it the whole time he is eating.  So basically he is either waving or dancing while eating :)  And as you can see in the video he loves to play and throw balls.  He will even chase it all over the floor while his brothers and sisters roll it around.

Halloween Night

These pics are of Halloween and Trunk or treat.  My boys were ninjas, Ileana was a pink fairy, Mychaila was a Barbie princess and Ikaia spiderman. 

 We went to Trunk or Treat with our neighbor B.  Yes, that is what we call her:)

 This was Napela's costume, he lost it after the trunk or treat, and it was never found again.....So he has a make shift for Halloween night.

 Halloween night we went trick or treating with Pono's sister family.  It was sooo much fun, and the kids had a blast.  They all were able to go in a haunted tent and the 3 older kids had to hit it up again when we finished trick or treating.  It was sooo funny going through it with them and watching them get spooked.  Mychaila got picked on the most since she was the oldest.  It was awesome.

Halloween Day

We had such fun this halloween.  We had sooo many activities going on.  So I have a couple different post for Hallween.  On Halloween day, we got together with our wonderful family friends, the Lund's.  We had tons of activites and kept the kids so busy.  We had so much fun watching all of their excitement. 

First the kids decorated their own sugar cookies.

My pictures are a little jumbled.  Here the kids had a relay race carrying a piece of candy on a spoon.

Then they bobbed for apples.  The kids got tricky and went after the stems.

Half of them were soaking wet.

Then the kids had to eat a donut with no hands.  (this was in place of donut on a string, Our string was going through the donut.)

Back to the relay races.  Ileana's version of candy on a spoon.  Do you see the glee on this girls face.  Imagine that face, running at that speed to every house trick or treating.  Yes, she was that excited, and laughing hysterically the whole time.

Sleep tight...PLEASE

We finally got a bunk bed for the girls:)  Found it at a garage sale for 25 dollars!  CRAZY!!  Pono sanded it down and revarnished it, and now it is good as new.  So today Ileana is sleeping in her own bed for the first time EVER. She has always slept with us.  I am sure I will have sleepless nights for the next week, but for the first time in 10 YEARS there will be no children in our bed.  WOW!  INSANE!!  I know.  She is really excited.  Okay, I am really excited. She has been doing somersaults on her bed all day.  Hence, the messy hair...

 We went to the store and picked out sheets for the bed.  She of course wanted pink.  She is ridiculously obsessed.

 This is what we are hoping...wait, praying for tonight!  Good night my elf.

Growing Too Fast

Ikaia is now 8 months!!!  He is everywhere and into everything!  He climbs the stairs at a rapid pace, and is starting to cruise the furniture.  He is even starting to let go and stand momentarily.    He says momma, dada, yay (especially when sister comes to take him outside )and hi, and starts dancing to any beat given to him.  He looks chuncky in these photos, but it is only because the dang outfit is to small and tight.  He is just really long.  I can't believe he is already this old.  I feel like it has only been 5 months.  I love his tight hugs, whenever he slows down enough to give them.  Usually right when he wakes up. He finally ate people food without gagging on the taste.  He had little pieces of bread, and loved it.  He still hates rice....and is quite picky about veggies. Whenever we say," So big."  He puts his hand together and raises them above his head.  We love this little bugger, he is full of laughs and fun!
